Pioneers and renewal
De Martino
Choapa, Maule and Itata depending on the cuvée
- Cinsault in old jars: With « Viejas Tinajas Tinto », De Martino ferments Itata cinsault in old terracotta jars, reconnecting with a Chilean tradition. After an interruption linked to the 2023 fires, the cuvée returned in 2024: a floral, fresh red that gives this heritage a living expression.
- Carignan brings growers together: De Martino took part in the launch of VIGNO in 2011, a collective brand devoted to dry-farmed old vines in Maule. Its « VIGNO » comes from La Aguada, planted in 1955: choosing this bottle means discovering a carignan tied to a specific vineyard and this shared heritage.
- Fresh reds with fine tannins: « Viejas Tinajas Tinto » 2024: flowers, red fruits and white pepper, with vibrant acidity and fine tannins. « Legado Reserva Syrah » 2016: blackberry, black cherry and pepper, medium body and fine tannins. The 2017 also shows this spicy dark fruit and a fresh, supple, persistent palate.
